Next door to my home where this girl has her business the building is 3 stories high with hundreds of little buinesses looking like our flea markets back home. They all work together so prices are tough to cut down. But years of coming here I know who to trust on price and getting the real thing. Many of these business sell knock-off items when it comes to electronics
Labour of love
On our way to the Detian Falls I stoped in a small village called "Ping Liang" and took some great photo’s of farmers working. I could not believe how hard that these people work out in the feilds. Our civil workers back home who wine and complain and go on strike all the time should come and look at what hard work is all about!!!

A monk at the famous Shaolin Temple in Henan. One of the biggest disappointments of my life going to that place... it was just one huge Disney land with monks instead of people in goofy costumes. They rip you off and ask you for money wherever you go, and sometimes actually accuse you of not giving enough! My suggestion, stay away from this place unless you want a totally soul destroying experience!

Took by my dad with his old Praktica which he saved up or months in order to get. DDR cameras were a luxury in China in the early 80s. But I digress... taken on a very cold day in Tiananmen square, most probably 1986/7. Note the absence of cars. There is also a huuuuuuge bus in the background. I hated those things as a kid...

Daming county has a large Muslim population who migrated from the western provinces hundreds of years ago. They have many small eateries and restaurants around the county town itself. You can tell if an establishment is Muslim by the name Mohamed written in Arabic above the doorway.
