The GSIS (Graduate School of International Studies) of CAU (Chung-Ang University) intends to increase the proportion of Chinese students in its ISP program from the fall semester of 2007. To support this endeavor, GSIS has increased its funding allocated for scholarship and housing subsidy toward Chinese applicants. Details of scholarship and housing support for qualified Chinese applicants from the fall of 2007 are as follows:
1. Shcolarships
- The GSIS's scholarship award program is designed to facilitate the financing of the MA program and to recognize students who demonstrate excellent academic achievement or potential. For newly incoming foreign students, scholarships that amount to one-third or to a half of full tuition fees are available for outstanding applicants based on academic excellence. Once admitted, foreign students will continue receiving the scholarships if they maintain the excellence in their academic performance after the first semester.
2. Housing
- For those foreign applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, one-room housing or a stipend of ₩200,000 per month to cover a part of housing costs will be provided. However, you should note that this support is provided on a very limited basis.

As you might know, the GSIS was established in 1996 as part of a government sponsored national project to train globally competitive manpower. The ISP (International Studies Program) offers M.A./Ph.D. in both Global Business & Finance program and Global Affairs &Trade programs. 中央大学国际大学院（GSIS CAU），将在2007年秋季招生过程中增加中国学生的比例，并专门对中国学生申请者增加奖学金以及金融补助，细节如下：
1 奖学金
GSIS奖学金项目，颁发给有出色学术能力以及潜力的硕士研究生。
对于新入学留学生，将考察学术能力，免除一半或者最少三分之一的学费。第一学期以后，外国学生若保持预定的成绩，这一奖学金将持续颁发2年。
2 住房：
对于部分有出色学术表现的留学生，将提供单间宿舍或者20万韩元的补助。此项名额有限。
